Need Mommy Advice

Eli climbed out of his crib tonight. Aiden never even tried when he slept in it.... so I wanted to know- anyone have this happen? What did you do? Do I discipline him and teach him not to or does that mean it's time to move him to a big boy bed?

The boys share a room, so I'd rather keep him in the crib. They'd have to share the double bed if he left it. What would you do? He turns 2 on Sunday!!!!

I don't have good advice except to ask Kristen H. Emma has been climbing out of her crib too lately.

I would move him to the big boy bed. He is giving you the sign that it is time. It is always an easier process than you think it will be. Just my two cents... from a stranger... and mother of two boys.

Spencer hasn't done it yet, but my brother used to do it all the time, and my mom moved him to a bog boy bed pretty quickly after that. If you are concerned that he will fall off because he's too young, you can start with his mattress on the floor. That's what my mom did.

Kinda been there...Levi never climbed out, our crib is hard to climb out of...but he was leaning so far over the crib railing he was getting ready to fall our head first. Shortly after, we moved him to a toddler bed at 18 months. He's done great w/it. I would say its a sign of readiness for the big boy bed or toddler bed. Maybe get a bed rail for his side of the bed. good luck!
